December 2000
Pastor Jeff Hastings felt the calling of God to preach. He responded by surrendering to the Lord, serving within his church, and completing theological training under Pastors Jeff Ables and Jeff Merrick and was sent out by the authority of Calvary Baptist Church, Knob Noster, MO
November 2004
A tiny church plant of just one family, and a handful of visitors held its first service in a cramped room in the basement the Days Inn Motel in Columbia, MO.
Growing by Faith...
November 2005
With just a handful of members we were able to rent an 1870's church building on the East Side of Columbia.
God provided mightily with church pews, tables, chairs, a sign, and everything needed to hold services and grow!
April 2010
With 38 members, Bible Baptist Church organized and become an autonomous, self-supporting, Independent Baptist church.
Mountains and valleys...
October 2012
Through the miraculous moving of God, a prayer revival, heap offerings, anonymous donations, and God’s working in hearts, we were able to purchase our current building. This turn-key building sits on 5 acres on the eastern edge of Columbia city limits. With more than 12,000 square feet of usable space, the foundation was laid for continued growth and new ministries.
November 2019
In August, Pastor Hasting's wife Kristina, was diagnosed with advanced cancer. In less than 4 months she went to be with the Lord. It was a time of heart break and sorrow, but also a calm assurance of God’s grace.

God blessed our Pastor with a love story only He could write. Mrs. Allison has been a tremendous blessing to the church.
The prayers of many were answered and God orchestrated it all in His timing and for His glory.

November 2024
We celebrated 20 years since our founding. In that time, we have seen many souls saved, baptized and discipled. We have faithfully supported more than 50 missionaries and God has provided the resources for new classes, building projects, a choir, and so much more. We firmly believe that the best is yet to come!
